Celebrating leaders and coming together.

We brought together 475 people to celebrate leaders who’ve had an impact on the business community as part of the annual Business Leadership Celebration.

Given the timing of the COVID-19 pandemic, extra planning and organization was required to ensure Foster was following University protocol for checking vaccinations and communicating policies prior to the event. I changed how we handled our registration to help the process go smoothly and we never encountered a backup or issue.

The evening focused on the UW Foster School’s vision. Content and decorations were planned to align with the brand. Tables were named with words pulled from the mission statement. Videos shown during the program focused on the mission statement. Volunteers had specially-branded masks with part of the Foster mission on them.

The evening featured a keynote from former Pepsi Co. CEO Indra Nooyi and award presentations to Mary Knell and Annie Young-Scrivner. Similar to prior years, my duties included overseeing the event from start to finish, vendor coordination, menu selection, budget oversight, registration and staff assignments.
